Botanical Name:  Thymus vulgaris

Manufacturing Process:  Steam distillation from the leaves and flowering tops yields Red Thyme.  A second distillation of the Red Thyme yields White Thyme which has less irritants, making it safer to use.

Country of Origin:  Spain

Aroma:  Fresh, herbal, medicinal, spicey, sharp.

Some Traditional Uses:  It is well known to be one of the most effective natural immune boosters.  It increases the production of white blood cells thereby strengthening the body's defense mechanisms.  Popular for use in treating respiratory infections, colds and flu.  It is stimulating and emotionally strengthening, making it a good choice for those suffering from chronic fatigue.  It has powerful antibacterial and antiseptic properties.

Skin: Effective remedy for acne, abscess, skin infections, wounds, lice and oily skin.  Also a good choice to treat body odor.
