Botanical Name:  Melaleuca alternifolia

Manufacturing Process:  Steam distillation of the leaves and twigs.

Country of Origin:  Australia

Aroma:  Medicinal, slightly camphorous, sharp.

Some Traditional Uses:  This oil has been widely researched and proven to be effective in fighting bacteria, viruses, and fungi and is an effective immune system stimulant.  Used to combat colds and flu.  Applied to burns it can prevent infection.

Skin: Its antibacterial properties make this appropriate for many topical applications.  Good for athlete's foot, skin infections, insect bites, acne, oily skin, wounds, cold sores and burns.
