Botanical Name:  Mentha piperita

Manufacturing Process:  Steam distillation of the flowering herb.

Country of Origin:  United States

Aroma:  Minty, camphorous, sharp, bright.

Some Traditional Uses:  It is best known as a valuable treatment for digestive disorders, especially popular for treating intestinal colic, nausea, gas and indigestion.  Possible origin of the classic"after dinner mint" tradition.  It is helpful for relieving headaches and mental fatigue.  It has a stimulating effect, helping to energize and ward off sleepiness, and improve mental focus.  Has been said to repell mice and insects.

Skin: Effective in the treatment of acne and dermatitis.
