Botanical Name:  Cymbopogon martinii

Manufacturing Process:  Steam distillation of the grassy leaves.

Country of Origin:  Nepal

Aroma:  Rosey, sweet, floral, slightly citrus.

Some Traditional Uses:  Popular remedy for digestive problems, it is also used to treat anorexia, intestinal infections, nausea and sluggish digestion.  It is a wide spectrum bactericide and works effectively against bacteria responsible for ailments such as gastroenteritis.  Has important skin care properties.

Skin: Very valuable for skin care.  It balances sebum production, stimulates cellular regeneration, and hydrates dry, damaged and mature skin.  Used regularly it can smooth out wrinkles, and improve the look of scars and stretch marks.  Its antiseptic properties make it useful for acne and minor skin infections.
