Botanical Name:  Myrtus communis

Manufacturing Process:  Steam distillation of the leaves, twigs, and flowers.

Country of Origin:  France

Aroma:  Fresh, camphorous, herbal.

Some Traditional Uses:  Used widely to treat respiratory ailments and urinary infections.  Good choice for bronchitis.  A very gentle oil, it is popular for treating children.

Skin: It has astringent, antiseptic and bactericidal properties, and is used to treat acne, oily skin, and hemorrhoids.
