Botanical Name:  Eucalyptus globulus

Manufacturing Process:  Steam distillation of the leaves and twigs.

Country of Origin:  China

Aroma:  Camphorous, woody, pungent.

Some Traditional Uses:  Especially valuable as a decongestant inhalation for respiratory ailments such as colds and flu, bronchitis, asthma, and throat infections.  Has antiseptic properties that make it useful in treating wounds and infections.  Because of its powerful bactericidal and antiviral action it has been used for many years to prevent the spread of airborne infectious illnesses.  It is a general body tonic, has anxiety relieving effects, combats fatigue, and reduces headaches.  Used in massage it relieves muscle and joint pain.

Skin: Used to treat skin infections, cold sores, wounds, insect bites and athlete's foot
