Botanical Name:  Syzygium aromaticum (Eugenia caryophyllata)

Manufacturing Process:  Water distillation of the flower buds.

Country of Origin:  India

Aroma:  Sweet-spicey, strong, slightly fruity.

Some Traditional Uses:  Used for many years for the prevention of disease and infections and as an effective antiseptic and topical anesthetic.  It is sometimes used as a treatment for toothache until professional dental treatment can be arranged.  It is considered a heating oil, imparting warmth through massage; good to alleviate muscle and joint pain.

Skin: Treatment for athlete's foot, acne, and wounds.
