Botanical Name:  Ocimum basilicum

Manufacturing Process:  Steam distillation of the flowering herb.

Country of Origin:  Italy

Aroma:  Sweet, licorice-like, herbal.

Some Traditional Uses:  Uplifting and restorative, this oil improves mental clarity, combats fatigue, and relieves headaches.  It is an immune and energy booster.  Popular to soothe digestive upset and relieve nausea.

Skin: Effective in relieving insect bites and as an insect repellent.
